Cybersec Asia x Thailand International Cyber Week 2026

Advances Regional and Global Cyber Resilience

The National Cyber Security Agency (NCSA) of Thailand officially inaugurated Cybersec Asia x Thailand International Cyber Week 2026 (powered by NCSA) on 4 February 2026 at the Plenary Hall, Queen Sirikit National Convention Center, Bangkok. The opening ceremony attracted a large number of representatives from government agencies, the private sector, international organizations, and cybersecurity experts from around the world, underscoring the growing importance of regional and international cooperation in addressing cyber threats.

The opening ceremony began with a welcome address by the Chief Executive Officer of VNU Asia Pacific Co., Ltd., followed by supporting remarks from the President of the Thailand Convention and Exhibition Bureau (Public Organization) and the Director of the Data Security Council of India (DSCI). These remarks highlighted the strong international collaboration in cybersecurity amid an increasingly complex, severe, and borderless cyber threat landscape.

On this occasion, Air Vice Marshal Amorn Chomchoey, Secretary-General of the National Cyber Security Agency, delivered the keynote opening address. He emphasized that cybersecurity is no longer solely a technical issue or the responsibility of specialists, but a critical national strategy directly linked to economic security, public trust, continuity of public services, and a country’s global competitiveness. This is particularly significant as societies transition into the digital and artificial intelligence (AI) era, where technology plays a central role in all aspects of daily life and organizational operations.

The Secretary-General further noted that while digital technologies and AI create new opportunities, they also introduce unprecedented cybersecurity challenges. Modern cyber threats are increasingly sophisticated, rapid, and borderless, enabling malicious actors to exploit advanced technologies to attack systems, critical infrastructure, and sensitive data across government, business, and society. As a result, no single country or organization can effectively address cyber threats alone.

Air Vice Marshal Amorn Chomchoey, Secretary-General of the National Cyber Security Agency, therefore stressed the importance of international cooperation and multi-stakeholder collaboration among the public sector, private sector, academia, and industry. Such collaboration is essential for sharing knowledge, experience, best practices, and for continuously enhancing cyber capabilities to strengthen preparedness at both regional and global levels.

In addition, the Secretary-General highlighted Thailand’s commitment to developing a comprehensive cybersecurity ecosystem encompassing policy, legislation, standards, technology, and workforce development. During the event, NCSA officially introduced the “Zero Trust Guidelines” to provide a practical framework for public and private organizations to enhance their cybersecurity posture in response to modern threats. The guidelines are based on the principle of “Never Trust, Always Verify”, offering step-by-step guidance for the effective implementation of Zero Trust architecture. This approach aims to strengthen organizational and national cybersecurity resilience over the long term, while maintaining a balance between promoting digital and AI innovation and safeguarding cybersecurity, thereby supporting sustainable and trusted digital economic growth.

Cybersec Asia x Thailand International Cyber Week 2026 is being held from 4–5 February 2026 and serves as a key platform linking Cybersecurity, Artificial Intelligence, and Digital Infrastructure. The event features three main conference stages—Main Stage, Tech Stage, and Innovation Stage—covering more than 90 sessions delivered by over 100 renowned speakers from around the world. The event also includes an exhibition showcasing cutting-edge cybersecurity technologies and solutions from leading domestic and international companies.

The event reflects Thailand’s growing role as a regional and international hub for cybersecurity and AI collaboration. Through this platform, NCSA aims to facilitate the exchange of knowledge, best practices, and strategic partnerships with allied countries, international organizations, and industry partners. These efforts are intended to collectively address increasingly complex cyber threats in the digital and AI era, while advancing Thailand toward becoming a secure, trusted, and resilient cyber nation with a meaningful role in the global digital ecosystem.
