วันที่ 14 พ.ย.2568 ที่กองบัญชาการกองทัพบก พลตรี วินธัย สุวารี โฆษกกองทัพบก เปิดเผยว่าปัจจุบันในพื้นที่ชายแดนไทย – กัมพูชา ยังคงมีการตรวจพบการใช้ทุ่นระเบิดของทหารกัมพูชาอย่างต่อเนื่อง โดยวันนี้ในพื้นที่บริเวณเนิน 677 ช่องอานม้า ตำบลโซง อำเภอน้ำยืน จังหวัดอุบลราชธานี ซึ่งอยู่ในเขตเส้นปฏิบัติการของไทย หน่วยทหารในพื้นที่ได้ตรวจพบทุ่นระเบิด จำนวน 2 ทุ่น
ซึ่งจากการพิสูจน์ทราบโดยชุดตรวจค้นทุ่นระเบิดพบว่าเป็นทุ่นระเบิดสังหารบุคคล แบบ PMN-2 สภาพใหม่ แต่ยังไม่ได้ถอดสลักนิรภัยออก จึงได้ทำการเก็บกู้ และบันทึกหลักฐานเพื่อดำเนินการรายงานต่อคณะผู้สังเกตการณ์อาเซียน AOT ต่อไป
สำหรับทุ่นระเบิดที่ตรวจพบ 2 ทุ่น วางห่างกันระยะประมาณ 50 เมตร โดยจุดที่ 1 อยู่บริเวณ แนวลาดตระเวนของฝ่ายไทย และจุดที่ 2 อยู่ใกล้เคียงกับฐานปฏิบัติการเก่า บริเวณเนิน 677 ที่ฝ่ายไทยอยู่ระหว่างการปรับปรุงพื้นที่
ซึ่งหากพิจารณาจากตำแหน่งที่ตรวจพบทุ่นระเบิดแล้ว สันนิษฐานว่าเป็นการเตรียมการวางทุ่นระเบิดของทหารกัมพูชา เพื่อลอบทำร้ายฝ่ายไทยที่ลาดตระเวณบริเวณชายแดน หรือมีการเข้าไปปรับปรุงพื้นที่ในบริเวณดังกล่าว
การกระทำดังกล่าวถือว่าเป็นการรุกล้ำอธิปไตยของไทยอย่างชัดเจน และแสดงถึงเจตนาในการลอบทำร้ายเจ้าหน้าที่ทหารไทย ทั้งเป็นการละเมิดต่ออนุสัญญาออตตาวาว่าด้วยการห้ามใช้ทุ่นระเบิดสังหารบุคคล ที่ทางไทยและกัมพูชาล้วนได้ให้สัตยาบัน ดังนั้นฝ่ายไทยยืนยันที่จะปฏิบัติการกวาดล้างทุ่นระเบิดในเขตอธิปไตยไทย เพื่อสร้างความปลอดภัยให้กำลังพลและประชาชนในพื้นที่ต่อไป
Royal Thai Army Reports Ongoing Landmine Discoveries Along Border; Two More Found at Chong An Ma, Pledges Clearance Operations to Protect Personnel and Civilians
Today (November 14, 2025), at the Royal Thai Army Headquarters, Major General Winthai Suwaree, Army spokesperson, revealed that Cambodian military forces continue to be detected using landmines in the Thai-Cambodian border area. Today, in the area around Hill 677, Chong An Ma, Song Subdistrict, Nam Yuen District, Ubon Ratchathani Province—which lies within Thailand's operational zone—local military units discovered 2 landmines. Investigation by the explosive ordnance disposal team identified them as PMN-2 anti-personnel mines in new condition, though the safety pins had not yet been removed. The mines were collected and documented as evidence for reporting to the AOT.
The two discovered landmines were positioned approximately 50 meters apart. The first location was along Thailand's patrol route, while the second was near an old operational base in the Hill 677 area that Thailand is currently renovating.
Considering the positions where the landmines were found, it is presumed that Cambodian soldiers prepared and planted these mines to covertly harm Thai forces patrolling the border area or conducting renovation work in the vicinity.
Such actions constitute a clear violation of Thai sovereignty and demonstrate intent to harm Thai military personnel. They also violate the Ottawa Convention on the Prohibition of Anti-Personnel Mines, to which both Thailand and Cambodia are signatories. Therefore, Thailand reaffirms its commitment to continue mine clearance operations within Thai sovereign territory to ensure the safety of military personnel and civilians in the area.
